We’re Stoked You Have Decided to Visit Lopez Island by Bike
It’s as if Lopez Island was built to be explored by bike. Let us help you get the most out of your day and prepare for your car free trip.
Please be aware that T-Mobile is currently the only cellular provider on the islands.
A Great First Step: Become Familiar with the Ferry Route and Schedule
The most common mode of transportation to and from the San Juans is the Washington State Ferries. Ferries leave the terminal at Anacortes, WA and travel to Lopez, Shaw, Orcas, and Friday Harbor.
Lopez is the first stop!
You can park your car at the Anacortes ferry terminal (there is a small parking fee) and walk onto the ferry. The coolest part is interisland travel is free for walk-ons and bikes!

We recommend heading straight to Lopez Village after you’ve arrived. The majority of amenities on the island are in the village. This is a great time to grab some food, use the restroom, fill up some water bottles and find some internet at a coffee shop. Feel free to stop by the shop and say hi.

The public restroom for the village is in the day park next to Isabel’s Espresso on Tower Dr.
